17 days to Projek Kalsom
July 17th, 2010It’s only 17 days to go to the highly anticipated Projek Kalsom this year.
The committee has been working really hard to make this programme a success and we definitely hope that it will turn out as such.
Just a couple of key updates for everyone involved with the project.
1. For those of us taking the bus,it will tentatively leave at 11pm on the 3rd of August 2010 (Tuesday night) from Putra Bus Station. Keep in mind that the journey to Terengganu is 8 hours.
2. Most of our participants will come from SMK Pelong and from the Setiu District. We have decided to fix the number of participants to 250.
3. We will be pairing up with Kampung Langkap for a Program Keluarga Angkat where 2-3 facilitators will be allocated per family as there are around 10000 villagers all together in Kg Langkap.
4. We have agreed to run the basic health checkups on people who are of age 40 and above, so that the line could flow smoothly and not hold us back from the activities in school.Besides carrying out basic checkups on the villagers, they also proposed to set up booths to run a mini exhibition on health. They will have their own officers manning the booths.
In the mean time, Projek Kalsom would kindly request any of you to contribute some articles to us regarding this project and how it has impacted your lives or the lives or others. Feel free to write to us as we are planning to slip this into our programme booklet.
Many thanks and may this project reap the benefits to everyone involved.
